Katalily Photography is owned and operated by me myself, Kylee Warkus-Forget, I recently moved here from Camrose Alberta in October of 2011. I love the medium of Photography and how you can manipulate the camera to capture and freeze a time in motion to view over and over again. Being creative and having this kind of outlet is absolutely amazing. I love the different views one can capture in life through a lens. The word is a canvas in so many ways waiting to be explored, I a small town photographer am lucky enough to have the rewarding skill to capture such beauty in my everyday cliental to nature and of course my main love, my family.
Katalily Photography has originated from my daughter’s name Kataly which we made up, I love the difference of a name and making its own meaning. The second half came from my love of lilies. So it was Katalily from day one.
As my background in photography is based upon an Art study done at GPRC while there learning about composition, art history, darkrooms, color, surroundings and understanding the rule of thirds. I have also had the privilege to embark upon a tour of Savannah, Georgia with mentors from National Geographic. I love a “job” where everyday I learn something new. I love that people are captured by my “eye” for capturing a moment in time. It truly is amazing to hear and see that other people enjoy my art as much as I enjoy capturing those moments.
